Helen Wilkinson is stepping down from her role as Chief Executive of Sahir House. You can read Helen’s farewell article in this month’s newsletter here.

Helen commented:

I am pleased to have been part of leading the organisation and team in this landmark year and shaping its strategic direction and look forward to seeing the impact of that work bear fruit as the organisation moves forward. Sahir House has been offering HIV support, prevention, information and training across Merseyside since 1985. Sahir House increases HIV and sexual health knowledge, reduces stigma and campaigns for the rights for those living with HIV and related intersectionality’s (gender, sexuality, asylum status). 2021 has been a landmark year as the nation entered the recovery phase of the pandemic and the organisation joined forces with other HIV providers nationally and internationally to mark the 40th anniversary since the HIV was first identified.

“Since joining Sahir Helen has been a driving force for change and has demonstrated her commitment and passion for the charitable sector. The Trustees and staff team would like to thank Helen for her professionalism, hard work and contribution during her time at Sahir, and for continuing to lay foundations for the future during her notice period. We wish her the very best for her future endeavours. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the staff team for their hard work and support we looking forward to working with all staff on this next stage of the Sahir Journey”
