The Red Ball, 24 Kitchen Street, Liverpool is on Wednesday 1st December and is hosted by David Hoyle who came to prominence in the 1990s as the Divine David, a kind of anti-drag queen whose lacerating social commentary was offset by breath taking instances of self-recrimination and even self-harm. Kalypso is a drag queen who presents alternative looks one night, cabaret the next and something entirely otherworldly after. Severus Heyn is a self-taught illustrator from Germany who will be creating a unique mural during The Red Ball and Dundee drag queen Auntie Climax also performs.

On the DJ side, for nearly three decades and over three countries, DJ Paulette has held residencies at some of the most prestigious clubs and best parties in the world, including the Hacienda (Manchester), Ibiza Rocks at Pacha and at Pikes Hotel (Ibiza). Bonzai Bonner from Shoot Your Shot in Glasgow and the irrepressible Sonic Yootha, 24 Kitchen Street’s resident queer night, also star behind the decks. Tickets from:
