HIV Support

Whether you are recently diagnosed and don’t know where to turn, or just want to talk to someone about issues you’re currently facing. It’s all free and confidential, just contact us and ask to speak to one of our HIV support workers. Our supporter workers may also able to help with money, relationships and practical issues. Counselling

We are currently able to offer confidential counselling for Merseyside-based adults living with or affected by HIV. Sessions can either be held face to face, over the phone, online or via video call. Helpline

Talk to us! Since the 1980’s we’ve e run a free phone advice helpline for anyone based in Merseyside who is living with or affected by HIV 0151 237 3990 staffed during Sahir House office opening times.

HIV Testing

We believe HIV testing should be available for people in a way that means they are assessable, discreet and the results get to you quickly. If you feel you may have been exposed to a potential risk of infection, or you feel you should check your status for peace of mind then we can test you or help you get access to HIV testing kits. Contact us and ask to speak to Kath or email hivtesting@sahir.uk.com

Condoms Direct

Get in touch with us to find out where you can pick up free condoms and lube local to you. We may also be able to post some out to you – just ask! For more information email info@sahir.uk.com or call 0151 673 1972.

Living with HIV Peer Support Groups

Our meetings are free and confidential. It’s a safe space to chat to other people who know what you’re experiencing. We sometimes have guest speakers and we always have tea and biscuits! For more information email info@sahir.uk.com or call 0151 673 1972.

LGBTQ+ Peer-to-Peer Groups

Our LGBTQ+ Peer-to-Peer Groups offer the opportunity to meet and share experiences and become more involved in Merseyside’s LGBTQ+ community.

All groups are free and welcome new members.

We can also signpost you to a variety of independently run local groups.
